End of Unit Assessment


In today's lesson:

We are going to test our knowledge of searching the internet by:

  • taking a quiz
  • making sure we have completed all our classwork
  • making sure we have attached all class work to our eportfolio.

    Tasks:

    2. Once you have finished and submitted your quiz, go to your eportfolio and check that you have all your work from this unit linked to your Internet Researcher page..

    3. Make sure you have written about what you have learned in this unit on the Internet Researcher page.

    Lesson 6 - Reliability, Accuracy and Relevance

    In today's lesson:

    We are learning to understand how text and images may be altered using ICT and be able to cite sources when you take information from the web.

    Tasks:


    1. You have been asked by a vegetarian organisation to create a document which lists some of the negative aspects of eating meat.

    2. Using a search engine, find three facts that you could include from three different websites.

    3. Try to choose one fact from a reliable website and two from less reliable sites.

    4. Copy and paste the facts into this worksheet (remember to make a copy first!)

    5. Make sure that you cite your sources.

    6. Use http://search.creativecommons.org/ to find your sources.

    7. Share your work with me and add it to your eportfolio.
